Only a short drive from Playa Blanca you will find one of Lanzarote's finest treasures, the natural pools of Los Charcones.
These series of natural pools are all different sizes, depths, shapes and are a joy to see. Los Charcones has everything you need to relax, enjoy a book, good company or even time alone to yourself. With pools for relaxing and diving, there is a constant trickle of unspoilt natural swimming pools along the almost two kilometre stretch. Walk from the south to the north and take the opportunity to bathe in each appealing pool that you stumble upon. The shades of turquoise and various blues are created by the depths and light that are at each of the pools.
Los Charcones is a very unique and special place that rewards its visitors with spectacular views. After leaving the paved road, you have to cross a dirt road until you reach the old and abandoned "hotel". The journey to get there is very rustic, but even small cars can get there.
To reach the natural pools requires a descent by the volcanic stones, a descent somewhat uneven, but with many points of support. We would suggest taking some comfortable footwear to ensure it is a safe and fun experience for everyone.
