Selling a house and moving is not the easiest of things. However Roper Properties made my experience very smooth. Nothing was too much trouble, calls and emails were answered promptly and always in a friendly manner. The few hitches that occurred, due to ancient paperwork, were declared 'no problem' and dealt with efficiently and successfully. I highly recommend them for selling and buying, which I did many years ago.

Ropers worked well with our Property Manager to organise viewings around the many existing bookings we had, and achieved the price that we wanted for our apartment. The sales process completed within the timeframe we needed due to the existing bookings, and the appointment at the Notary went smoothly as all the paperwork was in order. From signing the sales contract with Ropers to completing the sale at the Notary took around six months.

I have only ever bought and sold property on Lanzarote through Roper Properties and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of buying or selling a property on the island. La peor experiencia de mi vida. Nos enseñó la casa literalmente: esto es la cocina, esto es el salón, y esto es el baño (como si no lo estuviéramos viendo). No nos dijeron que la terraza no entraba en los metros cuadrados de la casa. Perdimos el dinero de la tasación. Y sin más el anuncio de la casa desapareció 5 días más tarde. Pésimos.
The worst experience of my life. He literally showed us the house: this is the kitchen, this is the living room, and this is the bathroom (as if we weren't looking at it). They did not tell us that the terrace did not fit the square meters of the house. We lost the appraisal money. And without further ado the house advertisement disappeared 5 days later. Terrible.

In reply to your comment, I’d like to clarify some things. First of all, I did explain that the owner of the apartment was in hospital at the time of the viewing and the property went off market shortly after as the lady passed away. We thought it was a little disrespectful to continue advertising under those circumstances, especially while the inheritance needs to be sorted before a sale can take place. Also, your offer of 140.000 € was not accepted by the owner who had given clear instructions to sell the apartment for the full asking price of 155.000 € or offers very close to that price. After more than 37 years of selling property on the island, you are the first to say that my service was one of the worst experiences you had. All the relevant information was explained to you and I even informed you about the communal gardens and the fact that it wasn’t legally possible to build an extension which you were planning to do. Could it be that you were disappointed about the rejected offer and the prohibition on expanding the building which led to your misplaced and incorrect comments. Please take a look at all our clients comments and what they think about our services and you’ll see that they all agree on the fact that we always provide excellent service. Kevin Roper. En primer lugar, le expliqué que la dueña del apartamento estaba en el hospital en el momento de la visita y lamentablemente la propiedad fue retirada del mercado poco después cuando la señora falleció. Pensamos que era un poco irrespetuoso continuar con la venta en esas circunstancias, especialmente porque la familia tiene que hacer el proceso de la herencia antes de que se pueda realizar una venta. Además, tu oferta de 140.000 € no fue aceptada por la vendedora que nos dio instrucciones claras para vender el apartamento por el precio de venta de 155.000 € u ofertas muy cercanas a ese precio. Después de 37 años vendiendo propiedades en la isla, eres la primera en decir que mi servicio fue una de las peores experiencias que tuviste. Se te explicó toda la información relevante e incluso te informé sobre los jardines comunales y el hecho de que no era legalmente posible construir una extensión, algo que planeabas hacer. ¿Podría ser que se molestó por la oferta rechazada y la prohibición de ampliar el edificio, lo que llevó a publicar este comentario incorrecto e injustificado? Echa un vistazo a lo que otras personas opinan sobre nuestros servicios y verás que todos están de acuerdo de que nos tomamos nuestro negocio muy en serio y ofrecemos siempre un servicio excelente. First of all we would like to say a massive thank you to the whole Team at Roper’s and five stars is definitely not enough!!
From receiving the email about the property to actually picking up the keys the whole process was absolutely brilliant, totally seamless and each and every person on the team (in no particular order, Kevin, Chris, Rachel, Olivier and Anna) were so professional and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged everything for us from purchasing the property, NIE numbers, opening a bank account, sorting all the utilities etc into our names, all the legal stuff including our Spanish Wills, picking us up and attending any appointments with us, explaining everything along the way.
We would also like to say an additional thank you for our wonderful house warming gift, we were invited to Ellen Roper’s art gallery (what a talented artist) at the back of the office and were asked to pick a painting for our new home, the painting will take pride of place and it was such a lovely surprise and again just put the ‘cherry on the top of the cake’ to their personal, professional and heartfelt wonderful service.

Due to issues that had occurred on my side the day before we signed for the property, I cannot thank Kevin Roper enough for everything he has done. He went above and beyond to support us and assist in making sure that our dream home was secured and we were able to enjoy our new holiday home.
What Kevin did for us, we will always be grateful for. For someone to go out of their own way to pick us up from the airport and take us everywhere needed to go is outstanding. The support Kevin, Alexi and Chris from the Agents provided us was exceptional. We could not have achieved our dream without them.
The team fully supported us with all paperwork that was required, all documentation for the property was correctly completed and even after we secured our dream, they still go above and beyond with their support.
The way the team treated us from the very start was incredible, they were so supportive and attentive to everything we needed. They have also assured their continuing support even after the sale has gone through and we have now secured the property. They have offered any help with anything we may need going forwards, which to me is outstanding. Kevin even gifted us a beautiful painting as a house warming gift for our new home. This was extremely generous of him to select it from his own personal gallery to give to us.
We are so grateful for everything the Team has done for us at Roper Properties Estate Agents both upfront and in the background and I could not ask for better service.

We recently bought a villa in Lanzarote through Roper Properties and they were really excellent to deal with, very friendly and very professional. It was our first time buying a property abroad, and they were extremely efficient and responsive, and dealt with all of our queries fully and promptly. Nothing was too much trouble, and Kevin and his colleagues didn't hesitate to pick up the phone to update us or to answer a question. They were happy to liaise with the vendor on our behalf and have even responded to follow-up queries after the sale completed. We have used Roper Properties twice now, they have been fantastic all the way through the process, from negotiating to local support for documentation.
